British singer, and winner of X Factor UK (2006) has announced she is leaving Simon Cowell's Syco record label, and will sign with Universal's Island Records.
Simon Cowell tweeted "Congratulations Leona. We had 7 great years together and now wish you all the best for the future. You put X Factor on the map. X". However, Leona did not respond to Simon's tweet.
Instead, she tweeted "So happy to finally be able to share the amazing news that I have joined the @islandrecordsuk family! Excited for this next chapter..."
Leona then posted a picture that read: "A new chapter."
