Beats By Dre released a commercial for the World Cup featuring Brazillian football star Neymar, and other big stars (click to here view). FIFA has now announced Beats By Dre headphones are banned from the World cup. Therefore, no FIFA officials, football players, broadcasters or even commentators are allowed to use the headphones during the event. Find out why after the cut.
Well its based on legal issues. FIFA has a licensing deal with Sony, and Beats By Dre is a direct competitor with Sony (Sony also manufactures headphones). Well prior to the ban, a lot of football players have been photographed with Beats By Dre headphones - perhaps Sony will send them Sony headphones to replace the Beats By Dre ones.
