The Aaliyah biopic has been put on hold, and Zendaya Coleman who was cast to play Aaliyah has exited the project. A few weeks ago, US Lifetime Network announced a movie was in the pipeline based on the late singer Aaliyah. However, Aaliyah's family filed legal actions to halt the movie.
The family believe Aaliyah was a huge star, and wanted a bigscreen movie rather than a television movie. We hope the movie will eventually be made whether on the smallscreen or bigscreen. Aaliyah's remarkable story has to be told, and shared with the rest of the world.
