YouTube To Block Indie Artists Including Arctic Monkeys & Adele

Google plans to start a streaming service via YouTube to compete with Spotify, and Amazon's recently launched music streaming service. The new YouTube service will now enable subscribers to stream music on YouTube without advertisements. Independent artists such as Adele and Arctic Monkeys could be blocked from YouTube within days.


Google offered a better deal to artists signed to major record labels such as Sony, and Universal. Some independent artists like Adele, and Arctic Monkeys have refused to sign on to the service due to the percieved unfair terms of the new YouTube streaming service.
