A few weeks ago, we heard hip-hop may have its first billionaire thanks to Apple's plan to acquire Beats Electronics. Well, the deal hasn't happened yet. According to Billboard.com, an Apple insider said one of the reasons maybe the premature celebration by Dr Dre and Tyrese on YouTube. Apple executives were reported to have been outraged by the video which leaked the news of the deal (earlier than the official announcement).
Other possible reasons are Apple is trying to figure out what Dr Dre, and Jimmy Lovine's role will be after the acquisition. In addition, Apple has to determine the total value of Beats Music and the headphones.
