Music critics review of Michael Jackson's Xscape album

By Bemi (Founder Mor Music Group)

Michael Jackson's "Xscape" album is out tomorrow (May 13). Overall, the 8-track album recieved positive reviews from music critics.

The 3 tracks released thus far sound good. However, in my view its missing the 'Michael factor'. I still play my "Invincible" album (Michael's last album with all new tracks), as its still relevant today as it was when it was released back in 2001. The tracks on the new "Xscape" album are songs that didn't make it to Michael's previous albums - perhaps because the perfectionist in him thought the songs where not good enough.

I can't help wondering if Michael would have wanted us to hear these songs (on the new album). Generally, it begs the question - are posthumous albums released  by record label executives to capitalize financially on an artist's demise, or is it done (with good intentions) to honour artists?

Well, I'll get my digital copy of the "Xscape" album tomorrow, whilst clinging to the memories of the 'real' Michael songs on my 16-track "Invincible" cd.
