Nicki Minaj To Host MTV European Music Awards
Nicki Minaj took to Twitter to confirmed the news, posting: “I will not only perform, but I have the honorable task of HOSTING this year’s #MTVEMA!!!!!!! AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!,”
The MTV European Music Awards will be broadcast live from Glasgow’s Hydro Arena on November 9 at 9pm.

Music Icon Annie Lennox Slams Beyonce's Claim of Being a 'Feminist'
Referring to Beyonce's performance at the MTV VMA's, where the star performed in front of a board that read 'feminist' and offered a definition for the word, Annie said the stunt was “tokenistic.”
According to Annie Lennox:"I see a lot of it as them [female artsists] taking the word hostage and using it to promote themselves, but I don't think they necessarily represent wholeheartedly the depths of feminism—no, I don't."
"I think for many it's very convenient and it looks great and it looks radical, but I have some issues with it... I think it's a cheap shot. I think what they do with it is cheap."
"What can I tell you? Sex always sells. And there's nothing wrong with sex selling, but it depends on your audience. If they're 7-year-old kids, I have issues with it."
Annie went on to explain the misconceptions surrounding the word 'feminism', as well as explaining why she believes many women still shy away from the term.

Prince To Livestream Album Release Party
Prince has two new albums out tomorrow (Tuesday). The Purple One is planning an album release party inside his Paisley Park Studios in Minnesota, which he will livestream via the Live Nation Channel on Yahoo.
The event will feature his 3rdEyeGirl group as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the studio, will kick off at 9:30 p.m. CST. It will be streaming on Yahoo! Screen Live and on the Yahoo! Screen app.

Jazz Icon Wynton Marsalis To Christen St.Louis Jazz Centre
Trumpeter Wynton Marsalis will help christen a new St. Louis jazz center that organizers hope will serve as a venue for Jazz music acts and inspire the next generation of jazz music legends like Miles Davis, Clark Terry and David Sanborn.
The grand opening of The Harold & Dorothy Steward Center for Jazz will be held on Thursday in St.Louis.

Ex-Sugababes Star Declared Bankrupt
According to The Sun, Mutya Buena of the Sugababes was recently declared bankrupt.
Unfortunately several of her companies are in the red. One company, called 'God Made Me Funky' is owed around £22,500 by Mutya whilst another one called 'Sacred Three Limited' is around £10,000 in debt.
To make matters worse, Mutya and her bandmates - Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy (AKA 'The REAL Sugababes') comeback single 'Flatline' entered the charts at a miserable number 50.

According to Sky news: Jennifer Lopez and the actress Leah Remini have been involved in a car crash with a suspected drunk driver who then fled the scene.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Sergeant Philip Brooks said The King Of Queens star Remini was driving Lopez's SUV at about 8pm on Saturday.

U2 Unveil Album Cover For "Songs of Innocence"
Songs of Innocence will be available in three formats: a deluxe, two-CD edition (which features additional tracks, including a six-song acoustic session), a two-LP 180-gram white vinyl and a standard single CD. The album was originally made available on September 9th as a surprise free download to all iTunes users.

According to Sky News, Malcolm Young of AC/DC will no longer play an active role in the band as he is being treated for dementia in a care home in Australia - we wish him good health.
The Sun reports Jason Young is leaving Take That because he felt violated by the music industry and wants to escape fame.

Malcolm Young Retires From AC/DC & Jason Orange Exits Take That
AC/DC announced their upcoming album "Rock or Bust" will be released on December 2nd. Unfortunately, Malcolm Young is retiring from the band for health reasons.
Another top band lost a member today as Jason Orange announced his departure from Take That.
Ed Sheeran Announces New Tour
Ed Sheeran just announced his upcoming Australia and New Zealand tour which is scheduled for March and April 2015.
The eight-date tour will be a solo arena tour. Pre-sale tickets go on sale from Sept. 29 at frontiertouring.com/edsheeran and the general onsale starts Oct. 2.

According to reports, Amber Rose has filed for a divorce from Wiz Khalifa barely a year after getting hitched. Prior to this development, the marriage had been plagued with divorce rumours.

According to The Sun, Simon Cowell is adding a new twist to X Factor UK. After Mel, Simon, Cheryl and Louis pick their final three to go through to live shows, they will then pick wildcards for each from the rejects.
Some judges may use the wildcard to save talented artists or use it to screwover their fellow judges - should be interesting! We can't wait to see how it plays out.

Dr.Dre Tops Forbes Top Earning Hip-hop Artist List
Forbes Magazine recently compiled the list of top earners in hip-hop. The list was compiled based on income from record sales, publishing, merchandise sales, tours and endorsement deals, and talking to managers, agents, lawyers and some of the artists.
Dr.Dre (49 years old) made the No.1 spot on the list with $620m (£378.8m) before tax in the past 12 months. P.Diddy (Sean Combs, 44 years old) and Jay Z (44 years old), made the No.2 spot with $60m (£36m), with earnings from drinks, clothing and television deals.
Drake (27 years old), was No.4 with $33m (£20m) with takings from his album Nothing Was The Same, an endorsement deal with Nike and a concert tour.

MOBO (Music of black origin) is a UK award ceremony and the 2014 nominees were recently announced.
Sam Smith has been nominated for four prizes at this year's Mobo awards, including best male.
The soul singer is named in three other categories, including best R&B/soul act, best album for his debut release, In The Lonely Hour, and best song for chart-topping single Stay With Me.
South London hip-hop duo Krept & Konan are in the running for the same number of gongs, including best male and best album, at the ceremony celebrating UK urban talent.
