American's version of "X Factor" got canned and now the British version of the program is not doing as well as its rival "Strictly Come Dancing". According to the official ratings released, the singing contest pulled in 7.46million viewers at its peak, with an additional 673,000 watching on +1 and 764,000 tuning into to The Xtra Factor. Whilst "Strictly Come Dancing" peaked at 8.43 million, which is exactly the same as the average ratings for last year's launch show.
