Kanye West Equates Treatment Of Celebrities To Racial Discrimination

Everything you love (or hate) about Kanye West could be found in his deposition. TMZ obtained excerpts from the sit-down in the case where he's accused of assaulting a photographer and destroying his equipment, and the quotables are endless.
"I'm the smartest celebrity you've ever f-cking dealt with. I'm not Britney Spears," he told Nate Goldberg, the photog's lawyer. "I'm in the business of trying to make dope shit for the world. You're in the business of representing scums and trying to make as much money as long as there's this lapse in the law."

While Goldberg tries to paint 'Ye's song, "Flashing Lights" as a rant against the paparazzi, using the line "Till I get flashed by the paparazzi/ damn, these n-ggas got me," the rapper goes off on him for saying the N-word. "You have to ask for a hall pass. You can't just say the 'n' word around me. It offends me because you're a white person saying 'n-gga.'"
He continues his impassioned yet sarcastic deposition, saying the treatment of blacks in the past is similar to that of celebrities today. "I mean in the '60s people used to hold up 'Die N-gger' signs when my parents were in the sit-ins also. ... I equate it to discrimination. I equate it to inequalities."
He continued, "We, as group of minorities here in L.A., as celebrities have to ban together to influence guys like this -- guys trying to take the picture, guys trying to get the big win, guys trying to get the check."
When Goldberg asked Kanye where he lived, he simply said "Earth."
